Teal, Orange, Yellow, Pink | Decor For Christmas

This is the time to start decorating the house and getting all ready for the Christmas seasson. One of my favorite times of the year! It is kinda hard not to love Christmas.

I have been trying to think about how I want to decorate the house. And I used to do silver and red colors pretty much the traditional colors of christmas. But the more I think about it I am not in love with it. Why, because honestly I feel like it doesn’t represent me in any way. I feel like the decor of your home needs to be a representation of yourself. So with the help of Pinterest. I have come to love the colors that I have done for the decor of our little abode.

My style is very colorful so I thought that we should incorporate that into our decoration for Christmas this year. And I am just loving it! I started with making a Merry Christmas sign that I have hung between out bookshelves that is above our TV. And then you know the chain of circles that you made as a kid in elementary school. Well, I have brought them back babe! I made some chains of different colors and hung them behind out couch. Nothing like some construction paper to bring back some childhood memories.

There are a few more decorations that I still want to do. But I am loving the start to my non-traditional Christmas Decor!

I would love to know what you have done for your decor and how it represents you! Also send photos my way!!!!

My good friend Carrie came over and we made the signs together. She made the circle sign and I have the flag one. The signs are super easy to make and such a fun decoration to have in your home. All you need is some fun paper and letters that we just traced and cut out. Then glued the letters on our background and hole punched some holes and then just put some string in the holes and you have yourself a personalized sign.

the above photo was taken with my iphone.
