4:00am woke up. Eyes barely open finished the little packing details for our trip to San Francisco. ipod – check, , toothbrush – check, the basics that I sometimes always seem to forget. My hubby drove the first 4 hour leg then I hopped in the car to drive the rest of the way. One of my favorite moments was watching the sky turn from charcoal black, to a light green blue, to baby blue, then to the magnificent golden orange. You can’t get better then a beautiful sunrise as you drive a long God’s engaging landscape.
For the both of us it was our first time to visit San Francisco. What better way to see a city with 2 people that have no idea where to go. I think that is the best. It makes for lots of memories together and fun adventures. As we were driving up I will never forget the 55 to 60 year old man in his Nissan 370z top down, windows down, silky silver hair blowing in the wind with ski goggles on. Yes that is right SKI GOGGLES! We were laughing so hard. Now that is something that we have never seen before. We so wished that we took a photo with our phones but I think we were in such disbelief that we weren’t thinking about it.
When we arrived in San Francisco it was a beautiful day. We couldn’t have asked for better weather for the entire weekend. In the 80’s laying on the uneven ground soaking in the children laughing and sun rays. We loved just walking around and seeing what the city had to offer.
I am going to have to get a print of this one because it truly shows what we saw as we drove along the 5 freeway.
When we headed home from our adventures I asked Josh what his favorite part of our trip was and he said going on the pedal boat in the pond at the Golden Gate Park. Pedaling along seeing the turtle and being next to his Babers. Yup my heart just melted. I love that man! I love that the simplest things makes him happy. Do you see that fair-tale bridge? It was so magical being in the Golden Gate Park.
We will definitely be going back sometime soon. I am in love with this city.
Oh and I have to share some of the places that we ate at. They are just to good.
Dinner: Don Pisto’s | Taco’s here are just amazing! It’s an unmarked building so it took us about 3 times to find it. But it was definitely worth the wait.
Breakfast: Dynamo Donuts and Coffee | Donuts made fresh for you and you can even watch them make them. They have different one’s all the time. Even better Coffee oh so yummy!
Breakfast: Epicenter Coffee | Coffee here is pretty darn good. And they do the cool designs in the foam. Which I seriously need to learn because it is truly FAN-Tast-Ic! I also loved the breakfast sandwich on a bagel.
