As soon as I woke up this morning I made some Trader Joes Pumpkin Pancakes. Then got the coffee pot ready with a special Gingerbread coffee. I then sat down with my hubby and watched some of the Thanksgiving Parade. A little tradition that my family does back home. I think I need to go back home for Thanksgiving soon because I do miss the times of us girls in the kitchen cooking like crazy. And joking around with one another. My mom’s apple cider giving the spice aroma filling the house. Even though it is hard for me to not be with my family for Thanksgiving day or as my Grandma said “Turkey Day!” I am thankful that I have my family here in California.
I can’t say enough about how thankful that I am this year. 1: for my God that has provided me with so many spectacular things. 2: for my hubby, he is my support in my everything. 3: for my business, to see where it was and how far it has come I can’t be more thankful for everyone that has supported me and believes in me.
There are so many things I am thankful for…..
Here is a few photos from a Thanksgiving Dinner that 2 of my most fabulous friends hosted this past Sunday.
Kiira and Jessica put on an amazing dinner party. I am honestly not a huge fan of Thanksgiving dinner. Never really have been. I usually just eat turkey or ham and the potatoes. But with the scrumptious cooking by Jessica Burns. I am a Thanksgiving Lover!
Kiira Turnbow is so amazing at designing invitations, labels, okay pretty much EVERYTHING! Here are the invitations that she sent out to everyone. Are they just not so FUN with the liners and rustic theme.
Kiira got my favorite paper straws and she even made the little flags. Then made the patten labels and tied twine around the mason jars. These are so fun to drink out of. Kiira also created mini chalkboards with each guests name written on them. And also a chalkboard to display the menus. Such an easy and fun way to display items.
We had so much Yummy food! A gorgeous cheese, meat and fruit platter. A beautiful golden turkey, ham, roasted root vegetables, celery root and sausage stuffing,(which I HATE stuffing, But this has made me change my mind, I was blown away) brown butter mashed potatoes, minted peas and carrots.
Jessica made her famous Burrata In A Jar which ummmm YES you need to make this! Spread is on some toasted garlic toast and you will have a party in your mouth. Make sure you check it out on Jessica’s blog. Best part it is Super easy to make!
Kiira made a yummy Spiced layer cake with molasses cream cheese frosting. We also had Jessica’s Pumpkin Swirl Cheesecake Squares
Thank you to Kirra and Jessica for putting on such a fun night of food, drinks and laughter!
