Looking back at the families that I was able to be apart of this last year brings a smile to my face. I had so much fun photographing them. Getting to know them better and staying in contact with them still. It truly is a family unit that I love to create. They are investing in me to photograph who they are and what brings them together.
Snow covered ground, sequin rose gold dress, loose organic florals. All of this makes for such a great way to show some inspirations for your bridesmaid. Katie from KS Hair and I teamed up and collaborated together to bring you some easy ideas to throw together as a bridesmaid.
For the dresses they were found at Forever 21 and Nordstrom Rack which are both reasonable prices for a simple statement dress. The flowers are from Trader Joes and also I went and cut some branches from a spruce tree to add some outdoor greenery. I had never put together a bouquet before so I just headed to Pinterest and found some tutorials that were simple for what we wanted to create. We are both big fans of the loose florals which I am super happy that they are now a big trend of the 2016 wedding season! Below I talk about how Katie created the hair. Enjoy!
Katie created a mix of an inverted fishtail braid and a bubble technique to get this simple hair style below. Love how if you would like all your hair out of your face you can create such a romantic look with softness.
For the Lace dress Katie created of a messy side fishtail braid. Which adds elegance without being the normal tight up-do.

2015. Whoa…It was such a year of change and growth. We moved to Spokane, Washington from Burbank, California in March and with that whirl wind in itself; I couldn’t have asked for a better year to get started here in Spokane. I have already met so many amazing photographers who have quickly became friends. This industry even though it is so large, the people that work in it are so willing to help. Really I am so thankful for that because I feel like it wouldn’t survive without everyones help.
With all of that I was so shocked by booking a few weddings here after I moved to Spokane. Honestly, I was not planning on really photographing any weddings as we just moved. But God had other plans and he truly showed up! It makes me even more excited for this year 2016. Already my brides have been super! They are working hard at planing their wedding day and I can’t wait to be there with them along their side.
Before I left California I was able to have the honor of photographing with Lydia Messenger Photography. If you live in California you definitely need to check her out. She is just the sweetest and so talented.
To everyone who commissioned me this last year I want to say THANK YOU! Thank you for inviting me to be apart of some of the momentous and long-planned days and moments of your lives. It really is an honor and I am so blessed by you.
Enjoy some of my favorites from wedding, engagement, and a little styled shoot from this last year.
Amanda Norisada contacted me to do some family photos of their adorable family of three. Then I found out she was a photographer herself…insert immediate nerves…I don’t know why but I always just put so much more pressure on myself when I am photographing another photographers family. I just want them to love their images and fall in love with them over and over again. I just loved that Amanda herself is not only a photographer but an amazing small shop owner of Nori which she makes the most adorable dresses and shoes. I will tell you she not only does that but she is SUPER talented if you follow her on Instagram you will see what I mean.
We met at the beautiful Farragut State Park here in Idaho. Walked down the small path to the lake and I was just so grateful that the smoke had cleared from all the fires we had this summer to reveal the mountain backdrop.
Thank you Norisada family for having me capture your family during your visit back to Spokane. Hopefully we will be able to do it all again sometime 🙂

When I was in California visiting friends and taking photos. I was able to meet up again with the Urbon family. I have photographed this amazing family for a few years and it was so fun to see them all again. We just had to get a few in their speculator house and couldn’t forget about the kids on the stairs. We have done that photo since I have been capturing their memories in Manhattan Beach. We then took a walk to the beach and had the kids run around and throw rocks as we watched the sun set.
If you ever go visit California, you definitely need to check out Manhattan Beach its one of my favorites.
Thank you Urbon Family for allowing me to capture your family just being you again. I love these so much! You all are the BEST 🙂
