As soon as Connor my nephew woke up. I heard Grandma and Grandpa sing Happy Birthday to him. A birthday in our family is kinda a BIG DEAL! So when Connor turned 1 I went to him in his highchair danced, clapped, and sang a Happy Happy Birthday. I don’t think he truly knew what was going on. But he smiled and swung his little arms back and forth. While everyone was a church. I was finishing up the little details for the big day. Everyone helped out in making signs blowing up balloons and putting everything together. By the way…I sure don’t remember feeling dizzy blowing up balloons when I was younger. As soon as I blew up one. I felt like I was going to pass out! Oh the joys of growing up things get harder 🙁
I’m so thankful that I was able to come to Washington to celebrate my nephew’s birthday. It made me think about everyone that has been involved in his life so far. And how much love that people have towards him. He is so lucky to have such great families that are in his life.
I can’t wait to see what this next year is going to bring……and for him to start walking. OMG he is just going to be so cute truckin and talkin away.
He didn’t really care for his hat but it sure was cute!
Shaina made Connor a white cake. It was quite yummy but Connor really didn’t want to try it. It’s always fun to see how they are going to react to a big cake in front of them. All he wanted to do was but the pieces on his tummy. He thought that was the coolest thing ever. For us adults it definitely gave us a laugh. Reminded me of old man resting his cup on his tummy.
To my sis and brother-in-law. You guys are such fantastic parents!!!!!
Connor now that you are 1 I think it is time to start saying “
